What is the ADA?
  • The American Darters Association (ADA) was founded in 1991 as the sanctioning body for a nationwide centrally-controlled dart league.
  • The ADA operates two types of nationwide dart leagues.
  • NEUTRALIZER offers a unique handicap system allowing members regardless of their ability to compete equally.
  • OPEN is the traditional “scratch” format.
  • Doubles, Express and Team Leagues are offered year round in both steel tip and soft tip and Neutralizer / Open formats.

American Dart League est. 1991

  • The American Dart League currently operates in 26 states and is managed by trained professionals to ensure the best-organized darts program in the United States.
  • The ADA also offers, Youth Leagues, Military Dart Leagues and Senior Leagues nationwide.
  • In addition to local weekly dart play, Regionals and the annual National Championship are held throughout the country.

ADA Membership

  • All participants of the American Dart League must become members of the American Darters Association.
  • Over 6,000 ADA members worldwide and growing daily.
  • Members must renew annually to actively participate.
  • Members receive an official membership card.

Professional Darter Certification Program

  • ADA Professional Darters represent each region of the United States.
  • ADA Pros meet yearly requirements and adhere to rules and regulations.
  • 55% men Pro Darters
  • 45% woman Pro Darters
  • ADA Pro Darters represent an elite percentage of total ADA members.
  • Professional darter(s) at specific Pro events throughout the year and at Regional and National events.
  • Pros Apparel (uniform)

Member of the Week (MOTW)

  • National MOTW determined from a members’ weekly performance.
  • Member with the most points in each category receives a prize package.

League Types

The ADA offers two types of Leagues:

The American Open League offers "scratch" play of 501 singles and cricket doubles.
The NEUTRALIZER® League equalizes competition regardless of a members' skill in 301 singles and cricket doubles.

Both the Open and Neutralizer leagues offer year-round play in three formats:

The Team League consists of 4-5-6 members playing 12 games (6 _01 singles, 6 cricket doubles). Average playing time is 2 hours.
The Express League consists of 3 members playing 8 games (3 cricket triples, 2 cricket doubles and 3 _01 singles). Average playing time is 1.5 hours.
The Doubles League consists of 2 members playing 11 games including doubles cricket, doubles 01 including 701 and 4 singles games. Average playing time is 1.5 – 2 hours.
